At first, I wasn’t sure if Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice was for me. Developed by FromSoftware, and I only picked it up two years after launch. I had my doubts—wasn’t a big fan of the graphics at first, and I kept hearing about how brutally difficult it was. But then, I started watching short clips on YouTube and TikTok, and something just clicked. The sound of the katana slashes, the intense combat—it looked too good to ignore.

So I gave it a shot. And wow. What. A. Game.

Mastering the Combat – Sekiro’s Greatest Strength

The first run? Painful. I had zero skills—every boss destroyed me, and I quickly realized this wasn’t like any other action RPG. In Sekiro, you don’t just level up your character—you level up yourself. You have to memorize enemy attacks, time your parries perfectly, and counter at the right moment.

By my second run, something changed. I had mastered the mechanics, and suddenly, Sekiro became one of my all-time favorite games. That feeling when you deflect an enemy’s final strike and land the perfect counter? It’s unmatched.

Platinum Trophy & NG+ – Pushing My Limits

I didn’t stop at just beating the game. I completed all four endings, collected every item, and earned the Platinum Trophy on PS5. But that wasn’t enough—I played Sekiro again on Xbox Series X|S and even finished New Game+. There’s something about this game that keeps pulling me back, no matter how many times I’ve beaten it.

Visuals & Atmosphere – A Work of Art in Motion

At first, I wasn’t sure about Sekiro’s graphics, but they grew on me. The more I played, the more I realized this isn’t just a game—it’s like a moving piece of Japanese fine art. The world feels alive, the environments are stunning, and every area tells a visual story.

Now, I’m even considering playing Sekiro on my Lenovo Steam Deck. If you play a game on every platform, you know you really love that game. That’s exactly how I feel about Sekiro.

Dead Space Remake Review (PS5)

I’ve seen the Dead Space Remake pop up in reels and clips on social—creepy hallways, zero gravity combat, and those signature jump scares. I’m already into horror games like Resident Evil and Silent Hill, so this one instantly caught my eye. But it wasn’t just another horror game—this one took the fear into space, and I had to try it.

I didn’t play the original, but the Dead Space Remake on PS5? Absolutely loved it.

Gameplay – Smooth, Scary, and So Satisfying

The gameplay in Dead Space Remastered is super polished. The movement, aiming, and weapon upgrades all feel tight and satisfying. At first, I thought upgrading all weapons would be too much—it looked overwhelming. But once I got into it, I was completely hooked. I ended up collecting everything, and even went for the secret ending (which was a wild surprise!).

The game really pulled me in. From tense corridors to pitch-black encounters, the atmosphere is just insane. And let’s talk about the jump scares—some of those moments had me literally freezing up. That’s when you know the horror is done right.

Weapons & Upgrades – Customization That Matters

The weapon variety in Dead Space is top-tier. Every weapon feels unique, and upgrading them actually changes the way you play. From slicing through Necromorphs with the Plasma Cutter to shredding them with the Force Gun, you really get to find your own style.

I’m still working on the Platinum Trophy—only one left: Impossible Mode. And yes, it’s brutal. But that challenge is exactly why I love it.

Story & Ending – Dark, Deep, and Unexpected

The storytelling was surprisingly strong. I didn’t expect to be that into the plot, but it totally delivered. I did not see that ending coming, and even after finishing the game, I kept thinking about how well it all tied together.

Verdict: 5 out of 5 stars

Dead Space Remake is everything I want from a horror game—intense atmosphere, rewarding gameplay, deep upgrades, and a story that keeps you guessing. Whether you’re a horror veteran or new to the genre, this is a must-play.

Split Fiction started popping up all over my feed, and the social media hype was real. After digging a bit deeper, I found out it’s from the same developers as It Takes Two—so I already knew I was in for a co-op adventure. And yeah, I played it. And yeah, I get the hype.

Gameplay – Two Dimensions, One Goal

Just like It Takes Two, Split Fiction is a full-on two-player game, but this one adds a cool twist: each player has their own dimension—literally. What I loved the most was how each world is custom-built for that character, but progressing means you have to sync up and help each other out.

You can’t just do your own thing and coast—you really need teamwork, communication, and sometimes patience when things get chaotic (trust me, we had some discussions ). But that’s also what made it fun—laughs, fails, and those moments where you both go “aaah okay we got this now!”

Visuals – Two Worlds, Double the Beauty

Each dimension is visually unique, and honestly, both look amazing. The game switches you between worlds so seamlessly that it’s easy to forget how much design went into it. Whether it’s a neon-lit tech space or a soft nature-driven fantasy zone, each side looks and feels alive.

Story & Co-Op Vibes – Strong Connection

The story is solid, but it’s the core co-op experience that carries this game. You’re not just playing next to someone—you’re actually building the journey together. There were moments where I was stuck, and my partner pulled through—and vice versa. That back-and-forth makes every level feel like a real team victory.

And yep, the challenges are tough. But that’s part of the fun. When you finally beat a level you struggled on, the satisfaction hits hard.

Horror games are easily one of my favorite genres, and Resident Evil: Village proved why. Even though the game felt a bit short, I still enjoyed every second of it—from the quiet tension to the chaotic boss fights. I haven’t played all the older Resident Evil titles, so I don’t know the full franchise lore. But even coming in half-blind, the story of Village held up. Not mind-blowing, but definitely good enough to keep me invested.

Gameplay – Guns, Guts, and Grit

Let’s talk combat. It’s solid—tense, responsive, and just the right amount of chaotic. I was living for the jump scares, and some of the boss fights were seriously fun. My favorites? Definitely Karl Heisenberg and Urias—those fights were intense, gritty, and satisfying.

The final boss though? A bit underwhelming in terms of story payoff, but on highest difficulty… it’s a different beast. That’s the one thing standing between me and the Platinum Trophy. I keep dying. Is it bad gear? Not enough ammo? Or maybe I just need to git gud. Either way, it’s personal now.

Atmosphere – Gorgeous and Creepy AF

This game knows how to set a mood. The graphics are top-notch, with every dark corner and snowy village alley dripping in detail. And let’s not forget that baby scene—you know the one. Creepy AF, easily one of the most disturbing moments I’ve ever played through.

The way Village balances survival horror, action, and psychological horror is impressive. It kept me guessing and kept me tense—exactly what I want from a horror title.

Verdict: 4 out of 5 stars

Resident Evil: Village might not be the longest entry, but it’s packed with enough horror, chaos, and boss fights to keep you hooked. If you’re new to the series or just love horror like me, this one’s worth the play.

I’ve always had a soft spot for samurai and shinobi games. There’s something about the calm before a katana clash—the tension, the precision, the discipline—that hits different. So when Rise of the Ronin was announced, I was hyped.
A samurai open-world game by Team Ninja? Sign me up.

Coming from the studio behind Ninja Gaiden and Nioh, I expected polished combat mechanics, tight swordplay, and beautiful, atmospheric visuals. Unfortunately, Ronin didn’t quite deliver.

The Good: Alternate Timelines & Stealth Moments

Let’s start with what I liked.
The timeline system is a cool feature. It gives you reasons to go back in a New Game+ (NG+) playthrough, and the added Midnight difficulty mode brings more challenge to the table.

There were a few duels and stealth missions that really landed for me. Those quiet, sneaky sections reminded me of old-school Tenchu—something I always welcome in shinobi-style games.

But beyond that… this game struggled to find its rhythm.

The Combat Feels Off

Here’s the thing—when a game puts a katana in your hands, the combat has to feel sharp. And this? It didn’t.
The parry system felt clunky, and even after hours of play, I couldn’t quite get into the flow.

Now don’t get me wrong—I’ve played Sekiro. I’ve played Ghost of Tsushima. I know what responsive, clean sword combat feels like. So when I say the mechanics here felt off, I’m not just salty for missing a parry or two. It’s not about “git gud”—it’s about feedback, timing, and animation polish.

Visuals That Don’t Match the Era

For a next-gen samurai game on PS5, I expected more visually. The environments lack detail, the animations feel stiff, and the lighting never quite captures the beauty of Meiji-era Japan.
It’s not unplayable—it’s just underwhelming, especially in a world where we’ve seen what Tsushima can do.

Verdict: 3 out of 5 stars

I wanted to love this game. I really did. But Ronin feels like a missed opportunity.
It had potential—a great setting, decent world-building, and some cool moments—but it just didn’t land the final blow.

If you’re a hardcore fan of samurai games, you might still find a few moments to enjoy. But for me, the combat never clicked, the story was just okay, and I didn’t even bother finishing NG+.
So yeah, this one gets 3 stars—mainly for the effort, the timeline concept, and the stealth missions.

But if you’re looking for precision combat, polish, and immersion, this one might leave your katana craving unsatisfied.

God of War: Ragnarok, developed by Santa Monica Studio, was a fun ride on PS5. The haptic feedback made every swing of the axe feel weighty, and the combat was as satisfying as ever. With some new features and strong character development, it did a great job keeping players invested. But did it surpass its predecessor? That’s up for debate.

Gameplay – New Additions, But Familiar Combat

Combat in Ragnarok is solid, but if you’re expecting major changes, you won’t find many. The biggest new addition? The Draupnir Spear—a new weapon for Kratos, and it’s a great addition to his arsenal. Atreus’ bow also got a few upgrades, and later in the game, you can even fight alongside Freya, not just Atreus.

The combat mechanics remain fluid and responsive, but in terms of challenge, God of War 4 felt harder and more rewarding. Boss fights and puzzles were more engaging in the previous game, while Ragnarok felt a bit more streamlined.

That said, I still enjoyed the game enough to go all-in—I obtained all trophies, including the Platinum Trophy. It was a grind, but completing every challenge felt satisfying.

Graphics & World-Building – Visually Stunning, But Not Truly Open-World

Visually? No surprises here—Ragnarok is stunning. Santa Monica Studio nailed the graphics, and some scenes are so breathtaking they could be wallpapers.

But as for the world itself, this isn’t really an open-world game. It feels more linear—you’re mostly following predetermined paths, rather than freely exploring. Sure, there are some side areas, but if you’re looking for a true open-world experience, this isn’t it. Craving a bigger map and more freedom? Check out the best open world games.

Story & Mythology – Strong, But Lacking the Wow Factor

I really appreciate how Norse and Greek mythology blend together in Ragnarok. The character development is great, and the story is well-written, but something about it didn’t hit as hard as God of War 4. Maybe it was the pacing, or maybe it was just the boss fights not feeling as intense—but it lacked that “wow” moment I was hoping for.

God of War: Ragnarok is a great sequel, but it didn’t blow me away like God of War 4 did. The combat is fun, the graphics are top-tier, and the story is engaging, but the game felt a little too safe.

That said, I still enjoyed it enough to 100% complete it and earn the Platinum Trophy, which proves how fun it is despite its flaws.

Definitely worth playing, but if you loved God of War 4, don’t expect Ragnarok to surpass it.

Ghost of Tsushima, developed by Sucker Punch Productions, is an absolute masterpiece. I know that’s a bold statement, but I’m just speaking facts. From gameplay to graphics to storytelling, this game is a perfect blendof everything that makes a samurai adventure unforgettable.

Gameplay – Smooth, Cinematic, and Rewarding

The combat mechanics in Ghost of Tsushima feel incredibly smooth. It wasn’t easy to master, but once I did, it felt amazing. The ability to switch stances and adapt attacks based on different enemy types makes every fight strategic and dynamic.

This isn’t just a hack-and-slash game—every battle feels like a cinematic duel. You can go all in with throwables, counterattacks, and precise katana strikes, making every fight look straight out of a samurai film. I played through every difficulty level, and trust me—it was worth it. I got gud.

Graphics & Open World – A Stunning Tribute to Japan

Visually? Absolutely breathtaking. The landscapes, villages, and lighting effects make Ghost of Tsushima feel alive. Having lived in Japan, the world of Tsushima felt so real—like walking through Kyushu or Hakone, surrounded by traditional villages and stunning nature.

Exploring for gear, weapons, and hidden secrets was an adventure on its own. The world is one of the best in open-world gaming, filled with detail, beauty, and storytelling woven into every corner.

Storytelling – A True Samurai Journey

The storytelling in Ghost of Tsushima is top-tier. From Jin Sakai’s journey to the way the game immerses you in samurai culture, every moment hits hard. The balance between honor and survival, tradition and evolution—it’s done flawlessly.

And yes, I went all in—earned the Platinum Trophy, completed every challenge, and fully experienced everything the game had to offer. It felt incredible.

No hesitation—Ghost of Tsushima is one of the best open-world samurai games ever made. It’s a cinematic masterpiece, with stunning visuals, smooth combat, and a gripping story. I can’t wait to play the sequel, Ghost of Yotei.

When Horizon Forbidden West was announced right after the PS5 launch, I was hyped. Having just finished Horizon Zero Dawn, I couldn’t wait to dive into Aloy’s next adventure. As the direct sequel to Zero Dawn, Forbidden West had a lot to live up to — and for the most part, it absolutely did.

Gameplay – A Perfect Fit for the PS5

The combat in Horizon Forbidden West feels incredible, especially with the haptic feedback on the DualSense controller. Every melee attack, dodge, and hit feels responsive, making every fight even more immersive.

Aloy’s melee combat got a huge upgrade, and I loved it. Throwing spears quickly became one of my favorite attacks—it’s just so satisfying landing a perfect throw. The mix of ranged and melee combat feels more fluid than ever, making every encounter fun and strategic.

Visuals & Open World – Breathtaking and Immersive

The visuals? Stunning. Especially when playing on a 4K QLED screen, the world of Forbidden West feels alive. The open world is truly open—you can climb almost every mountain, fly across landscapes, and explore every inch of the game.

The new mechanical creatures are insanely well-designed—the level of detail is next-level. And then there’s the haptic feedback—even running through grass gives you a subtle but realistic feel. Small details like this make the game even more immersive. If you’re into immersive combat and cinematic vibes, here’s my take on God of War Ragnarok.

Story – Good, But Rushed

Here’s where Horizon Forbidden West takes a slight misstep. The story is good, but not great. It felt rushed, especially compared to Horizon Zero Dawn. I get where they were going with the plot, but the final boss and their entourage felt forced into the story rather than naturally introduced.

That said, Aloy’s character development is still solid, and I loved the addition of mini-games and side quests—they added more depth to the world and gave me a reason to explore every corner of the game.

Horizon Forbidden West is an amazing sequel, with improved combat, a stunning open world, and next-level immersion on PS5. The story could have been better, but overall, it’s a must-play for fans of action RPGs. Definitely recommended!

Is Black Myth Wukong Worth It?

Some gamers hate on Wukong, but honestly? I don’t see why. It’s an incredible action RPG, with fluid combat, breathtaking visuals, and an engaging story. If you love challenging games with rewarding gameplay, this is a must-play.
